Description: This comprehensive workshop series for student aides and teacher aides covers essential topics such as professional communication, effective teamwork, assertive and respectful communication, conflict resolution, and maintaining professional boundaries. It includes training on de-escalation techniques, fostering student independence, and developing highly effective classroom habits. Participants will learn engaging time-filler games, stress management strategies, and how to promote a calm, supportive atmosphere. The series also covers improvisation skills, an overview of common diagnoses and educational terms, understanding developmental expectations, the concept of Least Restrictive Environment (LRE), meaningful data tracking, and basic technology training for educational settings. Each workshop is designed to equip aides with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles and create a positive impact in the educational environment.
*Please Note: Participants are not required to attend every workshop in the series.
