2-Year Program

Plattsburgh Campus & Mineville Campus

The Security and Law Enforcement Academy is a New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services Security Guard Training School. The curriculum includes instruction in all areas of the security profession, corrections, law enforcement, and homeland security. Cadets perform security duties on campus and in the community. A NYS Pre-Assignment Security Certification is incorporated into the curriculum. Work experiences are available with numerous law enforcement agencies, including but not limited to: U.S. Customs and Border Protection; Clinton County Sheriff ’s Department; U.S. Border Patrol; and Plattsburgh City Police Department.
