2-Year Program

Plattsburgh Main Campus & Mineville Campus

Students participate in the operation of a fully functional Cosmetology Salon Clinic. The Clinic provides hands-on salon experience where students work with clients, process retail sales and practice essential communication and people skills. First-year students master basic Cosmetology competencies, while those in the second year advance to more refined skills. Students are given exposure to the dynamics and diversity of the field of cosmetology through industry events and style shows. Students also work closely with local industry professionals through classroom demonstrations and other work based learning opportunities

New York State licensure requires the student to pass both a written and practical New York State Examination. This program provides the instruction to meet these requirements.
