GED – High School Equivalency Test (Formerly TASC)

The New York State Education Department has provided CV-TEC with funding so we are able to offer GED Testing to adults without charge.

Eligibility: 17-18 must meet NYSED requirements. 19 and older are eligible.

2022-23 GED Test Dates

  • November 7, 2022 & November 8, 2022
  • January 23, 2023 & January 24, 2023
  • March 27, 2023 & March 28, 2023
  • June 5, 2023 & June 6, 2023
  • October 9, 2023 & October 10, 2023
  • December 11, 2023 & December 12, 2023

The GED test covers four subject areas:

  • Reasoning through Language Arts
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Social Studies

Each area is a subtest and they all need to be passed in order to pass GED test.

Passing scores from the TASC may be used toward GED.

We provide test accommodations if you have special needs including extra time or Braille, large print, or audio versions of the GED test.
