CV-TEC’s Correction Education Program, located at the Clinton and Essex County Jails, was established in 2019 to serve incarcerated individuals seeking to obtain their GED, earn work readiness credentials, acquire life skills, and prepare for successful reentry into their communities.
Services Provided:
- GED Preparation, Testing, and Diploma Completion
- Job Skills Training (AZTEC Ready2Work, National Work Readiness Credential, Industry Specific OSHA 10 Courses, ServSafe Food Industry)
- Life Skills Programs (WIN Learning Soft Skills, CHANGE Cognitive Behavioral Intervention, PAXEN 100 Hour Pre-Release Preparation, Parenting Education, Domestic Violence Prevention, Conflict Resolution)
- Case Management including development of an individual Community Reentry Plan (Housing, Financial Security, Employment, Job Training, Continuing Education, Transportation, Food Security, Mental Health/Substance Abuse/Medical Treatment Referrals)
Upon release, students are encouraged to transition to our OneWorkSource Campus to continue to receive a wide range of services and follow-up care.
