This is an 8:1:2 (8 students, 1 teacher, and 2 teaching assistants) classroom for students identified by their district Committee on Special Education as meeting the requirements for NYS Alternative Assessment. They may have multiple delays across domains impacting daily functioning, a significant cognitive disability, and significant deficits in communication/language and adaptive behavior.
