This is an 8:1:2 classroom (8 students, 1 teacher, and 2 teaching assistants) for students identified by their district Committee on Special Education as meeting the requirements for NYS Alternative Assessment. They may have multiple delays across domains impacting daily functioning, a significant cognitive disability, and significant deficits in communication/language and adaptive behavior.
