The Instructional Technology service provides a continuum of services including planning, support, maintenance, and evaluation specifically focused on the implementation of the NYS Teaching Standards and the NYS Next Generation Learning Standards/Frameworks through the use of technology. BOCES instructional and technical support staff partner with district staff to support the integration of technology into the curriculum by providing technology planning, technical support, regional curriculum and staff development coordination, professional development (hardware and software), and the purchasing of the optimum technology tools. The coordinator, consultants, and equipment purchased and maintained through this Co-Ser are aidable. All hardware, software, and services associated with this Co-Ser will be incorporated and governed by the regional 793 plan.
The purpose of this service is to assist school districts in identifying and implementing appropriate uses for technology that support common teaching and learning objectives. These collaborative efforts will result in the planning, selection, implementation, and evaluation of appropriate educational technologies that promote engaged, meaningful learning with a focus on improved student outcomes.
CVES BOCES 793 Plan is part of the Northeastern Regional Information Center (NERIC) regional 793 plan submitted to the NYSED.
