Virtual Meeting Date: April 1, 2026
Location: Virtual Online Asynchronous Course
The School Library Systems Association of New York, in partnership with top education and AI experts, has launched an exciting new tool to help students explore artificial intelligence. The AI Scope and Sequence, part of the LibraryReady.AI project and funded by the Allison-Rosen Foundation, gives educators a clear roadmap to teach AI from PreK through 12th grade. This asynchronous online class will focus on four key areas: Why AI matters, how it works, its role in society, and real-world applications. The course is designed to build AI literacy, critical thinking, and research skills, in alignment with New York State standards, and blends computer science, media literacy, and library skills. It’s a great starting point for schools and libraries ready to bring AI learning into the classroom.
