Canva Two: Incorporating Canva into the Classroom at a Higher Level

Cost: $25 for CVES Model Schools members (for expenses not covered by CoSer), $200 per person for those not participating in the Model Schools Co-Ser which is not affiliated with NERIC Model Schools.

Description: In New York State, technology has revolutionized the education landscape to foster creativity, engagement, and effective communication within the classroom. This professional development will focus on engaging students with creative formats and teachers will leave with a working knowledge of Canva, at a higher level. We want to ensure that the participants and their students are prepared physically, mentally, and emotionally to foster creativity. Canva offers educational content creation, empowering both educators and students to express themselves visually while enhancing overall learning experiences. This professional development program will leverage Canva’s AI (artificial intelligence) capabilities and other tools to elevate skills to the next level.
Please note: Participants MUST bring laptops to utilize the Canva program. Also, bring any Canva-created materials you are willing to share with the group. There will be time provided to apply workshop information to activities. Participants want to have some knowledge of Canva as this will go more in-depth.
Target Audience: Secretary, Any Staff, Administrators, & Educators Grades K-12
