SED encourages all applicants to establish a profile online at Self-Registration to create a TEACH Account.
Once your profile has been established and you have sent your required payment (Payment) to NYS Education Department your credentials will be evaluated by the appropriate office.
Candidates for Teacher Certification need to successfully complete training in School Violence Prevention Certification, Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Certification, and the Dignity For All Students Act (DASA).
