At the Career Connect Showcase 2019, students from 8 schools met with over 50 local business partners (see list below) to explore career options, and recruiters from 8 colleges. The event was held at Clinton Community College.
The CVES Career Connect Showcase was held at Clinton Community College on May 21, 2019, and served as a culminating event for the 5th year of this initiative. The goal of the Showcase is to share Career Cluster, next generation standards aligned, student research projects and connect students with area business or community organization partners in relevant fields around the 16 career clusters. (see below)
Throughout the school year, students have been researching information related to a career cluster of interest. The Committee hopes that area businesses and organizations are willing to participate and provide additional information for the students to become more knowledgeable of the various career opportunities in a specific cluster, the training and education needed, and possible career advancement opportunities. Business partners are encouraged to bring displays, brochures, business cards and other materials to engage the students.
