National Board Certification is the most respected professional certification available in education and provides numerous benefits to teachers, students, and schools. It was designed to develop, retain, and recognize accomplished teachers and to generate ongoing improvement in schools nationwide. It is a voluntary process which goes above and beyond state requirements. There are over 2,000 NBCTs in NYS but very few in the North Country.
Start the new year with a fabulous professional goal to become a National Board Certified Teacher. We invite you to join us for an Awareness Session virtually on May 12th from 7-8pm to learn more about a new opportunity we have for North Country Educators.
Meet NBCTs Melissa Lavallee, Keene CSD and Rebecca Shuman, Saranac CSD and Annette Romano Director of the National Board Council of New York Network to learn about this full funded professional development opportunity. Visit NBPTS and NBCNY for more information.
