Ms. Nicole Louis – Supervising Public Health Nurse, Clinton County Health Department, will conduct a “Regional Health” status report, including local trends in regards to infectious diseases, etc.
Ms. AliceElizabeth Ladue – Program Coordinator for Reality Check. AliceElizabeth will update the group on the various nicotine products on the market today and how their marketing strategies continue to attract students into nicotine addiction.
Ms. Lisa Sears-Bowlen – the Prevention Services Director at Champlain Valley Family Center. Lisa will share recent results on a Prevention Needs Assessment conducted in 5 local districts as well as present on some prevailing topics in prevention today.
Ms. Joellyn Lampam – Don’t Get Ticked at School IPM Extension Support Specialist of the NYSIPM Program-Ticks are of increasing concern for New Yorkers & disease incidence is on the rise. Participants will walk away with knowledge & resources to manage tick exposure, & a tick sampling tool to be used in their own district. You. Time was built into this event for teachers to participate in a Roundtable activity. Be prepared to bring something to share with the group-your favorite lesson, a best practice that you employ, a future project you are excited about, etc.
