Creating Suicide Safety in Schools

December 11, 2017 @ 8:30 am - 3:00 pm

Date: December 11, 2017

Time: 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (registration: 8:00 – 8:30 a.m.)

Presenter: Bonnie Black, Director of Behavioral Health Services North

Location: Instructional Services Center

Lunch provided

Cost: $30 per participant

This 6-hour workshop is for school planning teams identifying what a Caring & Competent School environment is, based on Maureen Underwood’s Lifelines trilogy research. Often several schools in a district or an area come together to host the training and each sends a planning team. What that planning team looks like varies greatly from school to school.

This workshop is designed to help school personnel:

  • Assess existing suicide prevention and response readiness
  • Receive guidance in current best practice in school based suicide prevention
  • Develop a customized implementation plan
  • Access free and low cost resources

If you wish to attend one of our workshops, you must now register through WinCap. This will make it easier for you to track your Professional Development hours.
