This segment will also provide comprehensive definitions critical to understanding the scope of a district’s obligations under the Act and will highlight required policies and procedures.
A major part of the legislation focuses on prevention and training on the importance of maintaining a positive social climate. Greg Owens, an expert in the field, will present his insights into the underlying issues affecting school climate both critical to discouraging incidents of bias, harassment and discrimination and ultimately targeted to eliminating them.
The training will include materials and will be interactive to encourage audience participation.
