Athletic Director Professional Development – Legal Issues – PM

Section VII would like to invite you to some quality professional development designed specifically for Athletic Directors!
These sessions will be run through the school/curriculum Improvement Co-Ser (506) and will count toward your continuing education hours and allow you to grow as an athletic director, while earning professional development and taking a proactive approach at improving your craft!
The morning session will cover general strategies to help you improve and progress as an athletic director, while the afternoon session will give you an update on the current legal issues to navigate and help guide you as an athletic director.

Morning session: 7:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Afternoon session: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Cost: $225.00 charge PER session (Your district will be billed accordingly).

Legal Issues (Liability for Sports Injuries & Risk Management): This session provides in-depth coverage of the legal standards governing liability for sports injuries, including the duties imposed by courts and legislatures on athletics administrators, coaches, athletic trainers, and other athletics personnel related to safeguarding the health and well-being of student-athletes and other persons in school sports environments, along with strategies for developing, implementing, and documenting an effective risk management program for interscholastic athletics.
