All NY State Schools closed Through May 15

Governor Cuomo has announced the extension of New York State on PAUSE through May 15, 2020, which will keep all schools in NY State closed. Under this directive, all non-essential workers are to work from home and are required to maintain a 6-foot distance from others in public.

Governor Cuomo has also issued an Executive Order requiring all people in New York State to wear masks or face coverings in public beginning on Friday, April 17, 2020.

Champlain Valley Educational Services (CVES) and its 16 component school districts will continue to support these efforts to reduce exposure to the COVID-19 virus, and therefore all schools in our area will be closed through May 15, 2020.  All essential services that schools have been providing during the closure – home instruction and resources, student meals, and support for childcare for essential workers – will continue.
