Why do we need to change? What is inquiry? How can I Google-proof my assignments? What tools can I use? How can I tweak my current assignments to improve learning? If you fi nd yourself asking these questions, then this workshop is for you.
This engaging professional development seminar is offered to our component districts looking to improve their research process. Our goal is to foster state-of-the-art research programs in all schools and increase collaboration between teachers and the school library program.
We will discuss: The litmus test for higher level thought; Do your assignments cut it? Steps to foster higher level thought. What is Problem Based Learning?
It is recommended that two teachers attend this workshop together to foster collaboration between content areas. (librarian and teacher, math and science, science and social studies, etc.)
*Cost for districts not participating in the School Improvement CoSer 506 is estimated at $112.50.
All estimated costs are based on 20 participants. Costs will be adjusted once registration is closed.
