Workshop Description:

As part of our program for academic excellence in our region, ISC is hosting its first annual High School English/ ELA Forum. This forum provides opportunities for collaborative conversations among local educators to help all students succeed in differentiated, data-driven instruction.

Each district should send a team comprised of a high school administrator, Director of Special Education, English/ ELA director/chair, high school English teachers, and special education teachers.

Participants will:
• Analyze high school data to identify content and district strengths and opportunities for growth
• Establish goal(s) for skill development in English/ ELA growth
• Present curriculum information
• Review specifications for the New Three-Hour, One- Day Regents Comprehensive Examination in English
• Share promising practices
• Update district English/ELA improvement plan to support the district’s journey toward improvement.
