Workshop Description:

Mapping is an essential step in reforming or improving the curriculum.   We map to determine the journey a student makes through our system, what our real, taught curriculum is and how our curriculum aligns with NYS Standards. This workshop will present a curriculum mapping technique based on Heidi Hayes Jacobs work to use the map to effectively to find gaps and repetitions, inform student learning and achievement, modify the curriculum and communicate with peers about what is happening in your classroom.  The use of digital tools and curriculum mapping will also be explored.
