The Building Trades class is building a home for the Holland family of Mineville, NY. The project is a partnership with the Housing Assistance Program of Essex County (H.A.P.E.C.) and CV-TEC Mineville. H.A.P.E.C. has been assisting low-income homeowners since 1984.

Their projects include repairing deteriorating mobile homes and replacing units that have reached the end of their functional life with newer units and now with the equity home. Their goal is to enrich the quality of lives for Essex Couty residents and future generations. The building site is 2.4 miles form campus on Cookshaft Rd.

The class will be responsible for the entire construction of the home, including carpentry, plumbing and electrical.
