Start a career in Nursing. Prepare for licensure and employment in hospitals, clinics, physician’s offices, nursing homes, and home care. Students gain skill and knowledge through classroom, laboratory, and clinical site preparation. These skills & knowledge will allow them to deliver safe, effective nursing care in partnership with Physicians, Registered Nurses and other health care team members. This 1160 hour post-graduate program is accredited by New York State Department of Education.
This program has an articulation agreement with North Country Community College for those wishing to continue their educational advancement to a Registered Nursing degree.

Admissions Requirements:
All candidates must meet the following requirement for admission into the Practical Nursing Program:
- Candidates must provide proof of a High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED)
- A passing score on the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is required. The examination will be given at the CV-TEC Center in the spring of each year or at other times as pre-arranged with the Student Services Office.
- There is a $30.00 fee for the TEAS Test
- There is an online registration requirement for the TEAS Test.
- Please bring a picture I.D. as proof of identity
- You must make an appointment to take the TEAS exam. Call 518-561-0100 Ext. 240.
- Each candidate must have on file a physical examination & immunization record completed by a licensed Healthcare Provider. This report must be on file prior to admission to the Fall class. To be admitted to the program, applicants must be free from physical and/or mental handicaps that would interfere with their ability to give safe nursing care.
- You will be required to have drug testing.
Admissions Procedures:
- Complete CV-TEC LPN application form and return to CV-TEC Student Services
- Take entrance examination (TEAS). Call 518-561-0100 Ext. 240 to schedule an appointment.
- Selected applicants (those scoring in a specific range) will be invited to an admissions interview held at the CV–TEC, Plattsburgh Campus.
- Send in official high school transcript/GED transcript and any/all colleges attended.

- Upon receipt of official notification of acceptance into the program, we will require that the student:
- Send a non-refundable deposit of $100 within specified date of receipt of acceptance letter. If we do not have confirmation of your acceptance, your seat will be relinquished to other candidates.
- Receive a medical examination (at your own expense), and submit proof of physical exam, immunization record and drug testing prior to the start of class. Please make a copy of your health records prior to submission as you will need it for future venues.

$9,750 total tuition - $100 acceptance deposit (non-refundable) = tuition balance.

In order to be eligible to receive any Title IV financial aid, a student must:
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Be a High School Graduate or have earned a recognized General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
- Be in satisfactory academic standing.
- Not be in default on previously received National Direct/Defense or Guaranteed Student Loans.
- Submit a Financial Aid Transcript to document financial aid status at previous college(s).
