Summer 2008 Olympics Event

On April 11, 2008, the Special Education Division held a Summer Olympics Celebration featuring a wide variety of events.
The main theme was Chinese culture, and students learned about the Chinese language, food, eating with chopsticks, recipies, lanterns and theater. Among the other Olympic countries represented were: the USA, Japan, Jamaica, Greece, Holland, Italy and Mexico.
Students demonstrated Olympic sports, made Chinese lanterns, served food samples to the many visitors, showed off their schoolwork and participated in Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
