Workshop Description:
This workshop is designed to guide Title I Coordinators as they assist their districts in developing a clear vision of how to improve student achievement. Districts need to understand what has to be addressed in teaching and how to address priority need areas.
- New regulations of School Accountability will be reviewed.
- The connection between School Accountability and Title I will be discussed.
- The required data reports focusing on student needs, the action plans to address those needs and the monitoring of student progress will be shared.
- The importance of collaboration in this process at all levels with practical examples as resources will also be addressed.
The second part of the day will focus on the Consolidated Grant 2012-2013 requirements including the differences between public and non public schools. Participants should bring their first hand accounts of the process during the 2011-2012 school year with any information that would be valuable to share with other Title I Coordinators.
