Workshop Description:

This engaging, full-day workshop focuses on improvement and motivational strategies for your classroom and will be divided into two parts- geometry & measurement (morning) and number sense and algebra (afternoon).

Activities for the morning session will include discovering the value of pi, the geometries within a simple tessellation, and folding a right triangular piece of paper to introduce/revisit over three dozen topics. Those for the afternoon session will include discovering patterns that lead to more formal algebra, using simple balances to perform inverse variations, and solving equations with multiple representations.
