Curriculum Mapping

Curriculum mapping is the process of documenting a district's written, taught and assessed curricula. We map to determine the journey a student makes through our system, what our real, taught curriculum is and how our curriculum aligns with NYS Standards.

The Instructional Services Center (ISC) offers curriculum mapping workshops based on the work of Heidi Hayes
Jacobs. The ISC presenters explain how to use the map to effectively find gaps and repetitions, inform student learning and achievement, modify the curriculum and communicate with peers about what is happening in the classroom. Software options are available through COSER 506.
