Instructional Planning for Assessment Service provides instructional support by training teachers and administrators to develop, properly administer, and correctly analyze student performance assessment and test data to plan for the improvement of instruction.
Training and assistance is provided to develop classroom and school wide assessments related to the NYS Standards and Assessments. The Instructional Planning and Assessments Specialist cooperates with the Regional Information Center to ensure accurate analyses, explanations, and interpretations of student assessment data.
In addition, this Specialist informs component school districts of the current requirements for school accountability and provides training on both the system of Accountability for Student Success (SASS) and No Child Left Behind (NCLB).
