The School/Curriculum Improvement service supports the component districts' efforts to comply with State and NCLB regulations to strengthen instruction, raise standards, improve curriculum and assessment practices and build capacity at the local, building and classroom levels.
Primary activities are ongoing, research-based professional development provided both regionally and in-district to promote increased student achievement. An emphasis is placed on the sharing of effective instructional practices across districts. Whenever possible, local educators and administrators are employed as leaders, trainers and facilitators for professional development activities.
Along with regional activities, the Instructional Services Division provides professional development that is customized to meet individual district needs..
