DVDs, Videos, Equipment, Kits Collection The Instructional Resource Library holds over 6,000 videocassettes and DVD titles designed to support the K-12 curriculum. Along with a collection that supports the New York State Learning Standards, the Instructional Resource Library can also provide copies of video clips to participating districts to enhance lessons within elementary, middle and secondary classrooms.
The Instructional Resource Library also maintains curriculum kits and professional development materials also available for lending. New in the fall of 2007 is the introduction of streaming resources available through Discovery's United Streaming.
"Off-Air" Taping
This service provides teachers with videotapes of
educational broadcast programming from New York
and Vermont Educational Television stations. The
school districts can request specific programs that
are then taped and delivered to the schools. This ‘off-air’ videotaping service is provided seven days
a week, 24 hours a day.
Equipment Loan
Participating districts have access to equipment
such as: camcorders, CD-ROMs, LCD projectors,
DVD players.
On-line Ordering
All materials can be ordered 24 hours a day, seven
days a week utilizing the Medianet online catalog.
The catalog provides an easy way to search for materials,
print paper catalogs, order materials, renew
materials, and view your account from any computer
with an Internet connection. Technical support is
provided by Instructional Resource Library staff.
