CDL Class A Tractor Trailer Driving School
Prerequisites
Candidates seeking to enroll in CV-TEC's Tractor Trailer Driving School must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- You must be 21 years of age or older;
- You must have obtained a NYS Class A Permit;
- You must have obtained a DOT medical examination and Drug Test as per the DMV permitting process;
- You must know how to use a "standard" transmission (e.g., regular automobile).
Cost
The cost for taking CV-TEC's CDL Class A Tractor Trailer Driving Program is only $3,900. This cost includes:
- Use of CV-TEC's tractor trailer;
- Low student-to-teacher ratio (2:1, in-truck instruction);
- 60 hours of instruction (includes 30 hours of personal driving time);
- All necessary preparation to take the NYS DMV CDL Class A Road Test.
Additional Costs
- Optional: $40.00 "Trucking" Textbook;
- Separate Road Test fee required by DMV at the time of exam: $40.00.
Enrollment Procedures
To enroll in CV-TEC's Tractor Trailer Driving School, simply:
- Present your Driver's License and Class A Permit at the time of registration;
- Present payment at the time of registration. Payment may be made through one or more method, including:
- Cash
- Credit Card
- Agency Sponsorship (e.g., VESID, OneWorkSource)
- Educational Loans (e.g. bank loans)
