PAI Enjoys Partnership with Ecole nationale d' aerotechnique (ENA)

During the Quebec-New York Economic Summit in Albany, New York on Wednesday, October 5, 2005, the Plattsburgh Aeronautical Institute signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the largest aeronautical school in North America, Ecole nationale d' aerotechnique (ENA ).

Featured as one of three international agreements established by and between organizations on both sides of the US-Canadian border, the ENA-PAI MOU signing was cited by Governor George Pataki and by Quebec's Premier Jean Charest, as an opportunity for both regions to benefit from aeronautical internships, faculty exchanges, access to technical aircraft manuals and access to U.S. and Canadian aviation certifications.

Since the Fall 2005 international MOU signing, PAI partners have continued their discussion with their ENA colleagues as we develop plans to mutually benefit both aviation institutions.

PAI Partners with National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)

As a result of the appropriations funding secured by Congressman McHugh, former Congressman Sweeney, Senator Schumer and former Senator Clinton, PAI furthered the mission of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) while implementing its own world-class programs. PAI’s NASA grant enabled CV-TEC to spend more than $920,000 on acquiring personnel and equipment toward the its Aviation Technology program.

Laurentian Aerospace Announces Decision to Build New Wide Body Aircraft Maintenance Facility at the Plattsburgh International Airport

On June 19, 2006, Governor George Pataki flew into the Plattsburgh International Airport to announce the decision by Laurentian Aerospace to construct a new ultramodern wide body aircraft maintenance facility. This state-of-the-art facility will employ up to 1,500 new aeronautical employees within the first five years of operation and will seek to employ qualified PAI graduates for many years to come.

Along with other North Country and New York State residents, PAI celebrates Laurentian's decision and looks forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Laurentian Aerospace!
