For Adult Students

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Start a career in Nursing. Prepare for licensure and employment in hospitals, clinics, physician’s offices, nursing homes, and home care. Students gain skill and knowledge through classroom, laboratory, and clinical site preparation. These skills & knowledge will allow them to deliver safe, effective nursing care in partnership with Physicians, Registered Nurses and other health care team members. Available at the Plattsburgh campus.

Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)
The Adult Certified Nurse Aide Program is an intense course based on a minimum of 120 Hours of classroom and clinical study. Regular attendance is essential for successful completion of the program.  Class size is limited to 15 students.  Available at the Plattsburgh and Mineville campuses.

Home Health Aide (HHA)
The Adult Home Health Aide Program is an intense course based on a minimum of 120 Hours of classroom and 32 hours clinical study. Regular attendance is essential for successful completion of the program. Class size is limited to 15 students. Available at the Plattsburgh campus.

EKG Technician
This workshop prepares individuals to operate electrocardiograph machines that record tracings of electrical impulses transmitted by the heart.  The EKG enables the physician to diagnose heart diseases, monitor effects of medications, and analyze changes in a patient’s heart over time.  Students will learn to interpret a variety of heart tracings. Professional Certification is available through The National Certification Agency.  Available at the Plattsburgh campus.

Phlebotomy Technician
Phlebotomy training prepares the learner to perform finger punctures and venous blood drawing for the purpose of obtaining blood samples for laboratory analysis.  Individuals who successfully complete the program, acquire training which will enable them to enter a demanding, fast paced, entry level position in health care.  Available at the Plattsburgh campus.
