Here is an update on what’s going on in my hair world. Five of my staff were asked to be on the Sudzz FX design team, and a girl from Memphis and I were asked to be Artistic Directors for the company.
In the last few weeks we have designed five new haircuts for their summer collection. The name of the collection is “For the People, By the People.” It was a tough few weeks putting it all together for the company’s new packaging launch. We did it, and corporate liked it. We brought in an awesome fashion photographer that I have worked with before and a makeup artist that shined. We shot the images in an old local theater without heat. In the end all worked out well, the models were awesome.
The images we shot that day should reach the trade mags in the next few months. They will also be using them for their ad campaign for the new launch. Honestly it was a dream come true, who would have thought some of my cuts are to be taught around the US. We are already working on the fall collection, that needs to be completed by April 2010. Keep your eyes out for the pictures in the mags. I think it’s groovy that it all goes back to CV-TEC. I start travelling the USA and Canada soon to promote, and next year Europe. Tell the students to keep the dream, because they can come true if you have passion and work hard.
