The CV-TEC New Visions: Veterinary Science Program is a one-year program for seniors only. General areas of instruction in this academically rigorous, in-depth experiential program include animal health and disease, animal handling and restraint techniques, anatomy and physiology, species and breed identification, laboratory techniques and animal behavior.

Through the internship model utilized in New Visions: Veterinary Science Program, students will gain skills and knowledge in the profession and have opportunities to explore careers working at pet stores, animal shelters, kennels, animal hospitals and grooming facilities.
Successful students will gain basic knowledge, terminology and techniques needed to pursue a college education in various animal science fields and earn high school for credit English 12, Economics, and Government.
New Visions Program
The New Visions Program is taught at the honors level and provides an insider’s study of professional careers by immersing you in the daily activities with a mentor / expert before starting your college career. Acceptance is competitive with selection based on grades, recommendations, interview and essay.

Students may choose from over 70 AP, certificate-granting and high school credit online courses to fulfill requirements and augment their New Visions Experience.
