Early Childhood Education focuses on developing skills in early childcare. It is a program that provides students an opportunity to work with young children.

Program Description:
Fun and learning in one!! Learn about child development, health and safety, nutrition, facility management, special needs, lesson planning, and curriculum development. Plan, prepare and present learning activities to children.

Work with 4-year-olds in a preschool setting with opportunities for internships in elementary classrooms. Receive English 12 credit, a CV-TEC Certificate, Child Abuse Identification and Reporting Training, Pediatric Basic Life Support Certificate and transferable credit to area colleges.

Students learn to establish and maintain a safe, healthy learning environment while nurturing the physical, intellectual, social and emotional development of the young child. Students will explore career opportunities in family day care, pre-school and education.
