Computer/Network Technician: For students who enjoy repairing computers and are interested in the components of computer systems, this course is especially beneficial. Topics include computer assembly; networking computer systems, and LAN, WAN and the Intranet.
During the first year, students are introduced to the tools and equipment used in the repair of computers and how to remove and install computer components, in addition to installing and setting up operating systems. Other topics covered during the first year include computer memory, understanding file systems and the importance of multimedia devices.
In the second year, students learn more about networking and are required to build their own in-house network. Other second year tasks may include Web Design, Electronics, or Network Security.

Students enrolled in this program are eligible to earn integrated academic credit toward graduation and the CTE Endorsement (Advanced Designation in Career and Technical Education) on their High School Diploma.
