GED/Literacy Classes
CV-TEC offers FREE GED, Pre-GED, and Adult Basic Education services to adults, 18 and older. Certain restrictions apply for 18 year olds.
GED and Literacy Services are offered at both the Plattsburgh and Mineville campuses of CV-TEC, the OneWorkSource Centers in Plattsburgh and Elizabethtown, off-site GED classes, and through distance learning programs.
All programs are free as a result of New York State Department of Education funding and are taught by certified teachers.
CV-TEC offers an educational program to meet every schedule. Our programs operate year-round with students eligible to enter most programs at anytime. Programs currently being offered include:

Students 21 years of age and older:
Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. or
Tuesdays & Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Students 18 - 20 years old:
Tuesdays & Thursdays: 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
CV-TEC is proud to offer GED classes at the OneWorkSource for both adults and youth. These classes operate year round and students are eligible to enroll at anytime during the year. The classes are offered morning, afternoons, and evenings. Each class is 6 hours per week. These classes are perfect for students who need the structure of a classroom setting and the help from a certified teacher but do not have the time to attend class everyday.
