Application Process
Applicants for Teacher Certification are encouraged use to following sites:
- New York State Teacher Certification Examinations: www.nystce.nesinc.com
- State Education Department-Teacher Certification: www.highered.nysed.gov/tcert
- SED encourages all applicants to establish a profile online at Self-Registration to create a TEACH Account.
- Once your profile has been established and you have sent your required payment (Payment) to NYS Education Department your credentials will be evaluated by the appropriate office.
- Candidates for Teacher Certification need to successfully complete training in School Violence Prevention Certification and Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Certification. You may accomplish this by attending our Upcoming Workshops!
